Inspiration’s Call

Posted on Mar 10, 2013

Inspiration is a funny thing
Like a yo-yo on a string
Up and down does it come
When it does, what a run

Today is difficult for ideas
Only the wind is all I hear
The mind is blocked on thoughts
Closed down today but ideas sought

But in this poem I do think
Of ideas in the news, these I drink
Ideas surround us all the time
That can be turned into a rhyme

Observation is the key
This an absolute necessity
So empty the mind of clutter
Then your words like birds will flutter

From TV, heroes, nature and all
They scream out to inspirations call
All it takes is for the eyes to see
Then those words will be written and free
