One Thing

Posted on Feb 16, 2012

One thing is all she asks
But it feels like asking a shark
Teeth bared to keep away
Is this the way it’s meant to play?

To hell with them all she says
She’ll leave them to their own fate
She’s now on the right path finally
One that was clouded but now clear to see

She always had a hunger for so much more
To the point that she became a bore
With stories of all she wanted to achieve
That even she lost her faith and belief

But now her heart is finally strong
She’ knows she’ll do no more wrong
Her destiny has now finally called
Never again will she be easily fooled
