Erin Go Bragh

I hate the way you make me feel
The way you control all you see
We all bow to the pressure kneel
A governments control, sheep are we

Race, religion, creed and belief
Foolish people are we to believe
Ripped off from all in power
The people we are shall all rise and glower

The Crown takes slack for its problems past
The tax from our rulers will always last
Hypocrites all that believe all told
Sheep to the slaughter, not so bold

A country free from chains restrained
Is a dream we all believe will come one day
But through guns and bombs shall never be
The blood of innocents will always run free

The pen has always been mightier than the sword
Death is an easier option for those that are bored
Easy reasons they make to war
An innocent child in blood and gore

The war will go on in ignorance and fear
A country not really held in anything dear
One that’s loved by far and wide
In my heart it’s held with pride

A peace through talk shall come one day
A happy talk the people shall say
But until then the ignorant shall rule
In Eire there shall be no school…

Erin Go Bragh you scream aloud
Please release this heavy cloud
This fear of those innocent few
You kill without a moments due

Cousins, Brothers, Sisters you decimate
Without a care your blood won’t sate
Related we are strong can you not see?
The tears of the young in our eyes do bleed

We all want the same thing we say
Politics controls all of our days
Weak we are to believe what we’re told
It’ll take a hero to ignore evil bold…

Erin Go Bragh, freedom shall come
Pen is mightier than the gun
Erin Go Bragh all shall be well
Otherwise we’ll burn in eternal hell

Peace to all in Finnegan’s wake
For it’s for our children’s sake
Put down the tools of destruction you take
End this war for our children’s future to make

Stop the hate
Don’t live in the past
Look to the future
With those eyes you cast
