No Heart Like a Beating Heart

Under a Rainbow

She sits staring out the window
as the rain races down the glass
Watching it fall to the bottom
the raindrop she watched coming last

She thinks on him and all they did
thinking on what should’ve been
But it wasn’t meant to be she sighs
if only she’d have seen?

He ripped her heart out
so cold it still hurts
That she wandered lonely as a ghost
will she ever learn?

Then the sun breaks through
and a rainbow from end to end
She smiles suddenly free
knowing she’ll live again

For there’s no heart like a
beating heart
And she will not let it
again be ripped apart
