She plays a tune for a lost past
into the shadows does it cast
Reaching into the mists of time
searching out that was lost, to find
She plays to the moon and sea
and the whispers of the trees
Her tune carries across all life
for all can hear the violins cries
As her tears fall on the strings
heart-rending notes the tears do bring
The lament reaches far and wide
nowhere on earth from the lament can hide
A million hearts break as it plays
all cry for her lost days
As she continues to reach new heights
the birds above cry, taken flight
‘No more,’ they screech, ‘no more!’
‘for our hearts beak evermore…’
