** I entered the following poem along with one lost other into a poetry competition last year and sadly it didn’t even get a mention. As my teacher used to say, ‘Must try harder…’ I hope you appreciate it as much as I loved writing it as it’s now for you.
Enjoy!

Sandy footprints she has made
Lost to the sea, can’t be saves
Sandy footprints she did make
Lost forever, in the waters break
Sandy footprints walked away
Walking on water they now do play
Sandy footprints forever they dance
With the white horses they are apart
Sandy footprints have become one
With the elements and the setting sun
Sandy footprints, memories are made
Into the netherworld they’ll now stay

Sandy footprints will never come back
For none are the same, something they lack
Sandy footprints stories are told
From the young who made them to the very old
Sandy footprints into myth they go
Into this world, we can never go…
