Champagne and Chocolate

Dreams, ah dreams
She has many of these
In a castle or by the sea
Spreading her wings and flying free

Her prince on his steed
Fulfilling her needs
Taking her away to a faraway place
The horses hooves gather haste

Kicking up water and sand
Speeding to that magical land
Champagne and chocolate and all things nice
She’ll receive as a princess tonight

But then she awakes as reality invades
To a life of drudgery that she hates
Back to conformity, dreams put aside
But they lay buried, snugly they hide

For one day she’ll be free
To live her life as should be
Her dormant talents she’ll use
Not hidden away to fade or lose
