Three Days In

(Chorus)
Three days in and quiet as a mouse
Nothing stirs in town or house
Zombies walk the streets in slumber
No life at all, from here to the Humber

Doors and windows boarded up
Not filled, seems no rush
As people desert the high street in droves
People have no money, but use their loaves

(Chorus)
Three days in and quiet as a mouse
Nothing stirs in town or house
Zombies walk the streets in slumber
No life at all, from here to the Humber

A spark of life sometimes shows
but no flame seems to grow
No reason for escape
Like being in a zoo, captured apes

(Chorus)
Three days in and quiet as a mouse
Nothing stirs in town or house
Zombies walk the streets in slumber
No life at all, from here to the Humber

Is this the way it’s gonna be
A life of shackled drudgery
Not for me, no way, no
People to see and places to go

(Chorus)
Three days in and quiet as a mouse
Nothing stirs in town or house
Zombies walk the streets in slumber
No life at all, from here to the Humber

I look to the mountains and the sea
And exciting old cities
Full of life and a buzz in the air
Like electricity, a rescue flare

But…

(Chorus)
Three days in and quiet as a mouse
Nothing stirs in town or house
Zombies walk the streets in slumber
No life at all, from here to the Humber
