The Devil’s Buttermilk

The moon rises full
and fat
Thoughts rumble where
he’s sat
Time he thinks
to pull no punches
Take no more
and cause some blushes
He’ll sign his soul
over now

(Chorus)
For he was made a
deal by the horned one
Told he could have
anything in life and any sum
All he has to do
is drink
Drink the devil’s buttermilk
and don’t think

He’s had enough of
be used
Treated like a slave
being abused
A second thought
or way below
Time for him to
put on a show

(Chorus)
For he was made a
deal by the horned one
Told he could have
anything in life and any sum
All he has to do
is drink
Drink the devil’s buttermilk
and don’t think

Off he goes with a
glint in his eye
No more will he
be blind
He’ll drink the draught
offered to him
He’ll never be the
fool again

(Chorus)
For he was made a
deal by the horned one
Told he could have
anything in life and any sum
All he has to do
is drink
Drink the devil’s buttermilk
and don’t think
