Needless Things

She sits in her flat
Surrounded by things
Gathering dust and
Whatever else they bring

Books line the shelves
Ornaments as well
Films and music all
Around, she’ll never sell

As time moves on
More stuff crowds her space
Nothing in her life
Ever gathers pace

The more time passes
She looks at her stuff
Realising they’re needless
Things to smooth out the rough

She’s looking for something
More to give her life meaning
But until then she keep
Up with needless things cleaning
