Sweet Serenity

Sweet Serenity cries tonight
Cries for all she wants this life

Sweet Serenity hugs the pillow
As the strings play on the cello

The boyfriend gone, had enough
Left her for a bit of rough

Her hours cut at work so low
This has dealt her a wicked blow

She’s asked for her family and friends
But they go deaf, into shadows they blend

Sweet Serenity doesn’t want much
All she wants is sweet serenity and love
