Shackles Of Conformity

Posted on Nov 25, 2011

There he is like a volcano
Pent up frustration, about to explode
He has to learn to say the words no
Or he’ll be down a dark lonely road
The shackles are about to break
From the restraints of conformity
Release from lifelong torment he’ll make
A life so free in its enormity
Free to live, to grow, to learn
Finally showing what he can do
Becoming as one, he’ll not burn
Knowledge will be his alone to choose

Wings of fire from the volcano
Wings of freedom he will sow
