The sun doesn’t shine this day for her
As she walks away from all that deters
She fights her inner demons unseen
A manna from heaven she really needs
She cries her frustrations from prying eyes
But deep inside away she cries
Alone she feels and in need of love
Even just that simple warming hug
But as she walks this autumn day
Kicking leaves, as children play
She tries to grasp at some hope
It’s all she has, how she copes
Her friends neglect her way too much
Separate lives, it’s all nonsuch
For she tries and tries to embrace all
But no-one hears her lonely call
So alone this path does she walk
unnoticed by those she loves to talk
In a world of neglected lost souls
Neighbours, friends and family take their toll
She walks by a canal with quacking ducks
Wondering when and if she’ll have any luck
A leaf falls from a shedding tree
Like her silent tears, they yearn to be free

I'm a thinker, listener, a "question's pretty much everything" type of person. A seeker of knowledge, always restless, yet seeks the calm in life.
I love writing in all forms and am in the process of completing a number of ongoing projects. I love the craft of writing and the possibilities it holds. A magic carpet through the mind. I love pretty much all creative arts, music, film and theatre the leading ones.
Born in Hertfordshire in England, my family Irish, Welsh and English, I currently reside in Edinburgh, in Scotland. I'm drawn to coastal and mountain regions where I like to go to think and draw inspiration from. Ireland is a place that's dear to me, and I try to get back to see family and friends as much as possible.
My interests are wide and broad, too many to mention here, but history, archaeology, criminology, music and film are just some of those things I love.
I hope you enjoy my ramblings on here as that's what they are really. I'll let my fingers do the ''talking...''

Really great poem – especially love the line “A leaf falls from a shedding tree Like her silent tears, they yearn to be free” very powerful.
Thanks Randall my friend. Yeah, that last line seemed apt somehow.
