Democracy’s Freedom

So here we go again, the vulture’s picking at the pieces
Shrieking in the voices how we all have choices
These fools we suffer all our empty lives
They sit in luxury sharpening their knives

Why do we let them do this to us all the time
Why don’t we stand as one and for once shine
As a nation we walk heads down in obedience
Like rabid dogs without intellect or conscience

They have had their day since Henry’s day
An evil man who ruled without us having a say
The same seems to be happening now
Chaos and destruction have gone to town

These men and women who fight for power
Have forgotten our right to live (they glower)
Taxing us to a hilt, will they ever halter
We are fighting to keep our heads above water

Whomsoever is in power, what does it matter
We get poorer and they get fatter
In a different world they live from us
They take the limo, we take the bus

We are meant to live in a Democracy these days
But without the power of free speech we say
Hands restricted, tongues clamped shut and tight
Democracy’s Freedom is a prisoner without a fight
