I wrote this in one of my favourite pubs nearby called the Rising Sun, a place you should all visit if in the Hertfordshire area.

The Rising Sun, Berkhamsted, Herts

The Rising Sun where friends
do meet
And strangers too
with tired feet
A canal walk, as boats
pass by
Whilst happy faces
laugh and cry

The Rising Sun
A grand place to be
Where dogs are locals
their biscuits free
Cider and beer festivals
throughout the year
Another pint is what
I hear

The Rising Sun
by waters edge
By trees and thicket
hedge
Oh ’tis sad when
The sun goes down
But upon the rising sun
People shall be found
