I heard today how change
sadly has come
Under a golden harbour
sun
That much has been
lost, sold away
Whilst some have been
left to decay
Winter comes to close
the summer season
Along with shops and
bars with sad reason
The town now full
of wraiths
No-one out now
to play

Price wars and a
Changing world
Only help the corporate
monsters to buy and sell
Leaving behind ghosts
from the past
As we looks back,
eyes sadly cast
Oh for times of
old
When life was tough
but stories were told
Now all is swallowed
away
By those in power
with lives they play
If only, if only
they would sail away…
