Friends old and friends new
Friends you forget hold them true
Love them always truly dear
Accept them without rejection or fear

Time flies in their jest
Before you know it, in their behest
Love them dear
Love them true

Through beers, through tears
Through life’s crazy fears
Through thick and thin they’ll be there for you
Just make sure you’re there for them too

Friends like that come once in a blue moon
Always come, gone too soon
So don’t take for granted what comes that may
Because tomorrow isn’t necessarily another day

Friends sometimes hide their hearts
Scared of being themselves, split parts
So you only see what you want
The ghost of them, they do haunt

Again look deep into those you love
You may see something not so tough
Friendship isn’t a one way thing
It’s something that grows with much to bring
