Drunken Man by Walter Geikie

Oh you fool
You drunken thing
Sprouting this
and that
Walking like a
deranged Spiderman
Falling here, there
and everywhere
You drunk, you drunk,
you silly auld fool
Resounds over the air
and from the bar
Making the same
old silly mistakes
Week and and
week out
Best intentions
always laid
But they become a
distance memory
You drunk, you drunk,
you silly auld fool
Resounds over the air
and from the bar
A life lived with
many regrets
But you can’t help
yourself
Excuses always made
to others
No-one but yourself
to blame
You drunk, you drunk,
you silly auld fool
Resounds over the air
and from the bar
