Journey’s End

Old Oak Tree

The trees gently sway
The breeze caressing leaves
Singing the song of summer
Carrying hope in the air

They whisper a song of belief
Of lost hope thought gone
Now rekindled
This dream of something more

The trees dance the tune
All in rhythm together
Dancing as one
To the song of freedom

They spread their branches
These great colossal arms
Letting loose some leaves
That fly in freedom’s sun

They eventually land
Somewhere far away
The journey full of highs and lows
Now at journeys end

For roots they have found
Planted deep down
Ready to sing the song
For other’s to carry on
