Woman and her shadow

Walkin’ out in the spring sun
letting the rays wash over her
her shadow following close by
not hearing her shadow’s words

She moves on throughout the day
doing this and that
Keeping thoughts buried away
both good and bad

She knows soon she has to see
looking deep inside
Opening that Pandora’s box
from which she cannot hide

For time is slippin’ on by
far away from her
Even her shadow melts away
as emotions continue to stir
