Money’s Fight is Evil’s Delight

Mmm, I think to myself these past few days
How foolish I can be to trust some say
Because doing the right thing is a rule I live by
As I believe that all you can do is but try

But when it comes to financial help
You can never ever always tell
Who to lend and who to avoid
At the end of the day, we all have a choice

Money’s fight is evil’s delight
Never knowing what’s wrong or right
Decisions are made, consequences fall
You will reap your resolution’s all

Money can come between those you care for
Getting it back can prove a chore
Never a lender nor a borrower be I was told
But I rarely refuse help, this generous old soul

Time to change I think, concentrate on myself
Before time passes by and left on the shelf
Gathering dust and long since forgotten
A discarded favourite toy that’s gone rotten
