A Life Less Patriotic

No more a follower shall he be
Trapped in a life of conformity
His ideas not his own
But from others, always on loan

He’ll start to think for himself
No orders will he obey or tell
He’ll do what he thinks best
For his loved ones, to hell with the rest!

He’s fed up of towing the line
And being told countless lies
Going nowhere in life fast
Still struggling and stuck in the past

He’ll fight for family and a few friends
Only them will he now defend
No allegiance to a party or group
In him a sheep they did lose

He’ll no struggle whilst they eat well
In their big houses whilst he’s in hell
Putting others in power yet nowt is done
He’ll no more pick up a verbal or real gun
