Miss Destiny

He looks up to the sky
as a plane flies over
Its engines roar
as passes by another
Dreaming he is
of where it goes
What awaits them
What stories they’ll have to show

(Chorus)
Hey Miss Destiny
Take me away
Long have I been
shackled these days
Show me a life
I should see
Show me now
and set me free

He walks on
with thoughts in his head
Pictures flitter by
dreams thought dead
If only he had
a chance to escape
To try again
It’s never too late

(Chorus)
Hey Miss Destiny
Take me away
Long have I been
shackled these days
Show me a life
I should see
Show me now
and set me free

To start again
is all he wants
A new life
from the ghosts that haunt
Away from his
dreary old town
Grey and forlorn
where dreams drown

(Chorus)
Hey Miss Destiny
Take me away
Long have I been
shackled these days
Show me a life
I should see
Show me now
and set me free

But stuck he is
at least for now
Until a way
for him is shown out
Then he’ll flee
like a once caged animal
Running free
Finally living to the full

(Chorus)
Hey Miss Destiny
Take me away
Long have I been
shackled these days
Show me a life
I should see
Show me now
and set me free
