Guinness, Whiskey and a Lost Weekend

Enough stress, to hell with it!
Time to relax a little bit
Away to drink with his friends
For Guinness, whiskey and a lost weekend

So off they go down the coast
Unpack their bags and start the toast
All down their whiskies around noon
Have they started off a little too soon?

Enough stress, to hell with it!
Time to relax a little bit
Away to drink with his friends
For Guinness, whiskey and a lost weekend

By mid-afternoon they’re on their way
Still have most of the day
So they decide to get something to eat
One of them laughs saying it’s a cheat

Enough stress, to hell with it!
Time to relax a little bit
Away to drink with his friends
For Guinness, whiskey and a lost weekend

After that they walk to the beach
Skimming stones across the sea
The sun is beaming, everyone in high spirits
Speaking of which, to the pub for a Glenlivet!

Enough stress, to hell with it!
Time to relax a little bit
Away to drink with his friends
For Guinness, whiskey and a lost weekend

Before they know the night draws in
And one of their number is on the gin
One by one they seem to be falling
Far too early, more pubs are calling!

Enough stress, to hell with it!
Time to relax a little bit
Away to drink with his friends
For Guinness, whiskey and a lost weekend

Two head to their hostel to sleep away
They can’t continue with their play
Whilst the rest head to clubs and late bars
Tonight they’ll see out even the stars

Enough stress, to hell with it!
Time to relax a little bit
Away to drink with his friends
For Guinness, whiskey and a lost weekend

The next morning one awakes
To the screeches of seagulls, what noise they make!
It’s then he realises he’s on the beach
Pebbles and sand in places hard to reach

Enough stress, to hell with it!
Time to relax a little bit
Away to drink with his friends
For Guinness, whiskey and a lost weekend

What happened he has no idea
Far too much spirits and beer
Guinness, whiskey and a lost weekend
Hell yeah, he’s up for this again!
