Feeding Ducks

Posted on Apr 17, 2012

There she is throwing bread
At the geese and swan’s head
Quacking and squawking away
Feeding ducks on this breezy day

A simple thing this is to do
Bringing happy smiles to lift those blues
A little voice laughs out loud
Kicking in enjoyment at quacking sounds

The birds they flap and quack
In a rush for food they lack
For always hungry these crazy birds
Always around they are heard

The little girl is pushed away
The bread all gone for another day
Disappointed squawks come from behind
Looking for scraps always to find
