See that girl who looks lost and forlorn
Alone she is, her heart’s been torn
Tears she’s cried now for two weeks
Everything to her seems so bleak
There he is, her ex in a pub
Doing what men do, drinking and having fun
But deep down he hides his true feelings
For her he still loves, forever caring
But the two have been foolish beyond belief
The things they’ve done sent them into retreat
One played the other in foolish games
None sharing, but the other they blame
One an affair did they have
A drunken one night stand, stupid and bad
The other refused the apology outright
And slept with a friend of theirs in plain sight
The fallout was immense and hurt many
This stupid pair selfish aplenty
Now they’re alone, bitter and sad
If only they could turn back time, days better had

I'm a thinker, listener, a "question's pretty much everything" type of person. A seeker of knowledge, always restless, yet seeks the calm in life.
I love writing in all forms and am in the process of completing a number of ongoing projects. I love the craft of writing and the possibilities it holds. A magic carpet through the mind. I love pretty much all creative arts, music, film and theatre the leading ones.
Born in Hertfordshire in England, my family Irish, Welsh and English, I currently reside in Edinburgh, in Scotland. I'm drawn to coastal and mountain regions where I like to go to think and draw inspiration from. Ireland is a place that's dear to me, and I try to get back to see family and friends as much as possible.
My interests are wide and broad, too many to mention here, but history, archaeology, criminology, music and film are just some of those things I love.
I hope you enjoy my ramblings on here as that's what they are really. I'll let my fingers do the ''talking...''

wooowww!! amazing, imagery, i can literally picture the girl and feel the feeling they have when they are done..wonderfully written.. 🙂
Thank you. Glad it had an effect! 🙂
Really powerful imagery, you can see them both in the pub very visually. You have been really busy at the moment posting 🙂
Cheers Soprano. There was only one of them in a pub, the other I never actually mentioned where she was.
Glad you liked it mate anyway! I’ve around 30 ideas a day, but only try to do 3 a day, whether good or bad just for the practice. It’s surprising the ones I think are good, others seem to think are okay, while the one’s I think are okay, people think are good? It’s all good feedback though.
