Serenity Blue had a hard life
From the age of two
Always had to hide or fight
Sometimes won, sometimes she’d lose
All her bruises have healed
But not on the inside
Where they’re buried and sealed
She covers them up with lies
Her parents weren’t nasty
But cold they could be
Decisions they made were hasty
Emotions she could never see
Bullied at school she sometimes
Was to her parents shame
They would shout at her, hit her blind
With excuses that were lame
So Serenity would build up walls
With all that she met
She wouldn’t listen to heckles or calls
Her anger would be in check
But one day she finally snapped
At fourteen years of age
She was pushed too far by a bully, a lad
This brought up her rage
He would push her and steal from her
All the time
Make her do things, then report her to sir
No-one would listen to her about his crimes
So when the time came to finally lose it
She lost control
With a power she knew she never had, back she hit
Knocking the bully back into a dark hell
From that day on no-one messed with her
They were scared
They didn’t want to see her wrath incur
That path they dared not tread
Now in her late twenties she still fights on
In work, in life, like most do
She won’t take no crap from anybody for long
For a fight they’ll lose
Boyfriends like her spirit so strong
But they never last
She doesn’t give them an excuse to stay long
They usually run from her fast
But deep down she wants something too
She’s not sure what though
Always the fight of Serenity Blue
She moves through life alone
