He watches her with sadness he she talks away
Her life an emotional wreck, she thinks it is her fate
She tells him all that is happening to her
Her broken heart open to him, sad emotions stir
He wants to help her in some way
To guide her to happier days
But she’s not listening to anything he advises
For she drowns out everything with her tears she cries
He knows she’s alone even though surrounded by many
By friends and family, ten to a penny
But they tend not to be around too much now
They’ve heard it all before, gets them down
He feels the same sometimes when she talks
But he’s a sucker for a broken heart when it calls
To fix it is all he wants to do
Setting it free and being strong, happy and true
Some though don’t want to be helped
Even when they say so, it’s not what they felt
They walk a lonely sad path from choice
When help is offered, they push away the voice
So he’ll continue to listen to her sad stories
With an open heart and mind, her life’s lottery
He’ll watch the tears fall as she tell him all
Be that friend at her lonely call
While I was reading your wonderful poem I noticed that you have an English URL. I say that because so far your English has been wonderful as I read your great poems. Some of your country men do good English, others I cannot understand a word they say. Sorry I got off track. I just wanted to complement you not only on your great poetry, but also the fact that it highly readable to me. I love your flow and intensity. Keep up the wonderful work.
Thank you so much Randall. That’s one of the nicest compliments I’ve ever had about what I write. It’s support like that, that keeps me going and keeps the dream alive. Keeps my belief in check.
I wish you well too in ll you do and the success and happiness you seek.
