Hello Monday

Hello Monday, you’re back again
With all your chaos you do send
People rush about heading to work
Kids to school, all to assert

But a man may have so many hassles
His boss puts pressure on him, raises his hackles
Targets need to be reached and beat
Like school again with a bully you dread to meet

Some are lucky in a perfect job
A small minority, they’re not lost
In a different world do they live
Whilst others have lost their belief

From the early days when at school
You’re taught how to follow the rules
On the conveyor belt of life they put you on
Most lost in the system, education gone

Kids need the education to help them succeed
For they’ll turn into adults, a lost life to lead
Like the rest of us they could end up disillusioned
With the Monday morning blues, mind not broadened

The world is a mess, but we all have to fight
To do what we love, to do what’s right
Monday is a day most dread
But some count themselves lucky, they could be dead

But for the lucky ones stuck in a circle vicious
They can re-invent their lives, choose a different mission
Re-educate themselves, start all over again
To be new women, to be new men
