Broken Rose

She drifts with the breeze
Not noticing what she sees
Drifting like a ghost
This sad lonely broken Rose

So many people hurt her so
Stole away her heavenly glow
Leaving her a shadow unseen
Never noticed wherever she’s been

She drifts with the breeze
Not noticing what she sees
Drifting like a ghost
This sad lonely broken Rose

Wilting away carried by the wind
Softly taken this sad little thing
People pass her by, barging her
No feelings of compassion do they stir

She drifts with the breeze
Not noticing what she sees
Drifting like a ghost
This sad lonely broken Rose

Her heart aches for her past
That’s where her mind does cast
But stuck in a world that doesn’t care
Invisible claws do rake and tear

She drifts with the breeze
Not noticing what she sees
Drifting like a ghost
This sad lonely broken Rose

A silent tear does fall from her face
In a strange town she’s in, a strange place
No family, no friends who care for her
No voice friendly who should be heard

She drifts with the breeze
Not noticing what she sees
Drifting like a ghost
This sad lonely broken Rose

She floats at if a wraith
Unseeing eyes pass her by everyday
She disappears down a side road
No-one will ever hear her wails and moans

She drifts with the breeze
Not noticing what she sees
Drifting like a ghost
This sad lonely broken Rose

She drifts with the breeze

This sad lonely wilting Rose

Drifting like a ghost…
