Here I Go Again

Got a phone call this morning
Knew a crazy day was dawning
Here I go again with my mate
We’ll probably end up at Hell’s gate!

I always hope for a civilized day
But usually there’s hell to pay
Initially we go for a few hours
Come morning we’re still out, the sun glowers

Today it’s London town we head to
Bored though I am of it, well trod boots
But it’s easy and withing reach
There’s always something it can teach

The city is so damn insecure
Corruption at its central core
But I ignore this as much as possible
After a few drinks anything is probable

So after some munchies off I go
By the Thames where people row
It’s a hot day so should be nice
May have a chinese, chicken fried rice?

The Angel on my shoulder please guide me straight
Don’t listen to the devil on the left, my fate
We shall see what today brings this autumn day
And where our weary heads shall sleep and lay
