Looking at the sky, grey clouds up high
As darkness clouds the view, I sigh
What happened to the warmth heaven sent
This was the summer of no content
‘Tis funny how the weather affects our moods
Even the way we eat our foods
Up and down we go in weight or personality
Change do we as the summer takes our vanity
Mother Nature she is so strange and confusing
Like any woman she leaves us musing
Over all she does in her mood swings
Gales, Tsunami’s, Earthquakes, she brings
Respect is what and all she needs
Her children we are to feed
But so is all life on this earth
For she the ultimate mother who gave birth
I look forward to the Autumn fall
Life becomes beautiful, I’m enthrall
Stags rut for dominance and survival
While we worry about things so trivial
I love the darkness of the autumn nights
Halloween time gives me delights
The warmth of a fire in a pub
Drink with friends, eating good grub
So I won’t miss the summer of no content
I have no anger to lose or vent
Next year it will be back to delight the few
Hose pipe bans, mad insects, sleepless night too
