Two people sit in a cafe
in a town
Both slumped in their
Seat in coffee they drown
Thinking
Dreaming
Wanting
Needing
Needing a way out
Both don’t see each other
Lost are they
Lost in self-pity
In which they do play
Hurting
Crying
Screaming
Betraying
Betraying only themselves
Both need a reboot
Of their lives
If only they would talk
But they did so try
No-one listens
No-one cares
No-one realises
Nothing is fair
Except the other person in that chair
