No Good Deed

Stupid fool she is
The knife did so twist
In her back and heart
From this world she’s apart

No good deed goes undone
All it seems under this sun
No good deed unpunished
A heart and soul tarnished

She’ll never do good again
For those that do pretend
Her faith in them was strong
But by her they did wrong

No good deed goes undone
All it seems under this sun
No good deed unpunished
A heart and soul tarnished

She’ll do now her own thing
Find the life yet to bring
Had enough of being walked over
Now she’ll have to get it together

No good deed goes undone
All it seems under this sun
No good deed unpunished
A heart and soul tarnished

The next few days will be hell
She can hear countless alarm bells
Whatever happens she’s on her own
As always she’ll be alone

No good deed goes undone
All it seems under this sun
No good deed unpunished
A heart and soul tarnished

Done so much for so many
Spent on them even her last penny
Now she’s stuck in a hole
So deep and so very low

No good deed goes undone
All it seems under this sun
No good deed unpunished
A heart and soul tarnished
